At the Bioplastics Design & Application Center of Grupa Azoty S.A. in Tarnów, we have been developing advanced compostable bioplastics technologies since 2019. Our goal is not only to meet market expectations but to stay one step ahead of them. Our journey began with a proprietary, patented method of plasticizing potato starch, which enabled us to create fully functional thermoplastic starch – the only technology of its kind in Poland and one of the few so advanced worldwide. Importantly, our thermoplastic starch is produced purely through physical processing – without chemical modification.

Everything we do is built on our unique know-how. From idea to formula to the final compound – we develop every stage in-house. Under the envifill® brand, we offer a wide range of certified compostable bioplastics for various processing methods, including extrusion (with blow molding), thermoforming, injection molding, and injection blow molding. Our compounds are fully compostable, generate no microplastics, and remain safe and stable during use. This is confirmed by our certifications – OK Compost Home, OK Compost Industrial, and the Seedling mark, all obtained in 2023.

envifill® bioplastics successfully replace conventional plastics, even in demanding applications. They also provide a sustainable alternative to polystyrene in protective packaging for household appliances, electronics, and other delicate products.
